I actually watched part of this on Oprah and the weirdest comment he made was carrying a baby doesn't make him feel any more feminine or any less male.....isn't the ability to carry a baby the definition of female for the animal kingdom? I know the rebuttal to this statement is that is the definition for female sex not female gender, gender is how you feel & act not what you are physicalogically, but come on.... Even though he had a sex change operation and is legally considered male, he only had 1/2 a sex change--they removed his breasts but not his uterus.

I actually returned the HD-DVD player in under a week. The difference on my HDTV was so minor versus a normal DVD, that I didn't think it was worth the money.
Instead, I hope to see HD downloads take over but due to licensing that seems like a perennial pipe dream here in Canada. If my cable company released a PVR that didn't suck, with HD video on demand that didn't suck, I'd switch to just that. Unfortunately the suckage continues.
I'm happy to see a format win, maybe BluRay will go mainstream finally. But the difference between DVD and BluRay is minor compared to the VHS to DVD difference, so I doubt very much it will see the rapid adoption that DVDs saw in their early years.

I'm no detective, but I think I have at least a couple suspects in mind. Some local farmers, perhaps their ginger son. MmmHmmm... Clever ruse blogging about it to avoid suspicion, but I'm on to you McCutcheon!

Darryl my advice would be to let a little air out of one of the tires over a couple days and then "notice" that one of her tires is getting soft, so that she had better replace the whole set as the others may start leaking soon too.
Or you could just knife all the tires on devils night and blame the kids, then she will need a new set of tires.

I'm looking for a new set of Nokian WRs myself on the Jetta. I was considering driving down to Buffalo to get them changed out, taking advantage of the exchange rate. The Nokian site lists several dealers in the Lewiston, NY area.

They are NOT 5 years old. I have had a flat tire and was hit by a transport truck resulting in 2 tires being replaced! So HA!

Oh, AND way to use the sympathy angle with the 'Kristin is willing to let her nieces die because she wont replace her tires'! And now that you've given out the plan they'll try and low-ball me price wise.

AND I"M A GOOD DRIVER!!!!!!! Things hit ME not the other way around.
