Relaxing Weekend
Aug 19th, 2007 by darryl
This weekend was a pretty relaxing weekend. Friday night we visited Sean and Shannon for dinner. They made a great dinner, and Kristin brought along an amaretto cheese cake from Vincenzo’s. We ended up talking until almost midnight.
Saturday, I was not motivated to do much, so I went and saw the Bourne Ultimatum, got some stuff at Home Depot, and mowed the lawn. I also polished off most of a novel while lying on the couch. It was a good day, but not that exciting. You may have read on Kristin’s blog that she got a new sewing machine, and decided to cause some mischief. I have already started to plot revenge, but I believe revenge is a dish best served cold (unless I’m really ticked, then it is served hot and often).
Today, Kristin and I both went to the gym, and then visited Kristin’s parents to do some work. Today’s task was cleaning some dead branches out of their pond on their property. It was quite funny to watch two paddle boats and a row boat trying to pull a tree branch close enough to shore for me to hook on to with a tractor. I should have had a video camera, I may have been a contender for one of those funny home video shows.
Tonight, we are just trying to take it easy after getting home, Kristin is quite sore from trying to row a boat attached to a branch stuck on the bottom on the pond.
